FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

There is no such thing as a silly question…. Well, there are. But these ones aren’t.*

*Okay, there is one dumb question below.

FAQs

  • As soon as you have a date and a venue the next thing on your list should be a celebrant. Celebrants can generally only do one (sometimes two but it’s only when the moon is in alignment between Venus and Mars, there is no traffic and you have the blood of a virgin) ceremonies a day so we book out FAST on popular days in wedding season (Friday/Saturdays between September-April).

  • Like almost any industry there can be everything from home brand up to Louis V. For a marriage celebrant the different price points align to:

    ☀️ Atmosphere

Celebrants will have different skills at public speaking and crowd involvement. Choose a celebrant that you gets you, gets your vision and can have a hoot with. Then your guests will too.

🧠 Effort in the lead up

This includes the hours that they put in to making it just right for YOU. From asking you the right Q's, translating your A's, and writing your script and time spent doing this. It could be how many meetings they offer, the level of contact, rehearsals etc.

    ⚡️ Ceremony Day

Will they run the music (if there is no musicians), make sure Nan gets a good seat, tell Aunty Elaine to put her Samsung away and make sure she does, be able to adapt and improvise the script if something goes sideways, help you nail your vows and make sure you both have a blast.

    🪃 OFFERING

This is the extra stuff. From how fancy the PA System is, what they wear, having their hair and nails on point…to making sure bra strap is hidden..a price point will reflect the quality of our unique service that your celebrant brings to make sure everything is tied together for your day.

At the end of the day it's community > competition in Celebrant Land. Work out what you’re after and there will be a price point that reflects that. Everyone is fabulous - it’s just working out who is fabulous for you!

  • Changing your name is a completely personal choice. If you do decide to change your last name then I can point you in the right direction but legally this sits beyond my scope. I’ve been through the process myself and can give you some pointers to make this (slightly) less painful though.

  • 2 parts water and 1 part rice.

  • I love a destination wedding!

I’ve travelled all around Australia marrying lovers, so of course I’m open to travelling to your venue.

Travel within 60km of Canberra is included in my price. If you’re keen for me to marry you and you’re outside this, let me know when you enquire and I’ll send you a travel quote. This quote includes travel time, petrol and accommodation if it’s more than 2 hours away.

  • Mate, I got you. I’ll give you examples, help you work out the best way to do them so it sounds authentically you, proof read and print them for you. I guarantee that you won’t sound like an absolute flog with my help.

  • On your day vendors work as a team to create the vision in your head and turn that into a reality. The following vendors are a list of legends who I have had the joy of working with. You can’t go wrong but these are the people that I trust and recommend because they all share a similar vision and vibe to me.
